Tiziano Vecelli (Titian)

Tiziano Vecellio (1488/1490 – 1576), known as Titian, was the most important painter of the Venetian School in the 16th century. Extremely versatile, the artist painted portraits, landscapes, religious, and mythological subjects. His exceptional technique in applying and using colors influenced not only Renaissance painters but also those in Western Europe.

His paintings now fetch prices of over one million Euros.
