Theodor Pallady
Theodor Pallady
Theodor Pallady (1871 – 1956) is one of the Romanian modern artists recognized for his predilection for still life and Parisian landscapes.
With a complex background derived from the rigor of the German school combined with the symbolism promoted by Moreau, using experiments within the Art Nouveau movement and those of his friends who laid the foundations of Fauvism, Pallady finds his own path.
The aspiration towards simple architecture and linear logic of proportions dominates Pallady's art, which rejects grandiloquence, sentimentality, and cheap pictorialism, making his structural orientation towards classical composition evident.
